Keeping Facility Readiness Plans Current When Projects Change
Funding decisions and project schedules can change while the need for temporary space remains. A useful facility-readiness plan makes those changes visible: what is still required, which decisions have been made and what must be confirmed before activation. Keeping that record current helps the team prepare without assuming that an earlier arrangement still applies.

Separate the operating need from the timetable
Describe the functions that would need temporary space and the conditions that would trigger the move. Keep that operational brief current even when the planned start date changes.
Record dependencies such as site access, enabling work, utility connections and delivery. Identify which can be prepared now and which depend on a later decision.
Confirm the arrangement that actually exists
Identify who can authorize the next step and what agreement, if any, governs supply or access. Confirm scope, availability and activation responsibilities with the relevant provider rather than relying on an old proposal or announcement.
If the organization owns its facility, review its location, equipped condition, transport plan and receiving-site readiness. A stored building and an activated facility require different preparations.
Keep one current project brief
Maintain the selected layout, responsibilities, site information and latest schedule together. When a change affects another team, record the effect and notify that team through the organization's normal process.
